From the series: Wayback Texas- Return of the Prodigal Daughter by Marguerite Arotin

Okay, I admit it. I'm a sucker for a cowboy. What woman wouldn't want to be swept off her feet and carried to her home sweet home-on-the range. I just recently started dabbling in both contemporary and historical Westerns and was thrilled when I got a contract for my contemporary  western romance, Return of the Prodigal Daughter from The Wild Rose Press. Return of the Prodigal Daughter is set in the fictional Texas Town of Wayback and is part of The Wild Rose Press's fantastic Wayback Texas Line.  Every eight seconds a cowboy falls in love in Wayback. Well, my first hero, Jake Serrano, is a rodeo clown cowboy. I came to respect those men immensely for what they do when I researched my story.  As for the woman, my rodeo clown cowboy fell in love with, well she's a feisty former super-model he never really stopped loving, but left because he felt he was unworthy of her love. Her name's Sherrie Porter. Youngest sister of Daisy Porter (heroine of my friend Abbey's recently contracted story- Delighting Miss Daisy.) and a super-model forced to come home from California when her world fell apart. Below is my blub and a link to read an excerpt on my excerpts page. Hope you'll enjoy Sherrie's tale and if you love her tale, I hope you'll check out Daisy's story as well.

A famous prodigal daughter, Sherrie Porter, comes home to Wayback after a wild fire destroys her Malibu beach home and ruins her modeling career. While she longs for the comfort of family and friends, there’s one person she wants to avoid— her ex-boyfriend Jake Serrano.  Jake thought he did the right thing by leaving his girlfriend to her modeling career. When they meet again, he can’t deny the flames that never died between them. Can the two lovers rekindle the old passion or will stubborn pride tear them apart?
